The "symbios" project
Nordic BioConsult co-leads the R&D in symbios, a SEK 15.5 million project to restore post-mining boreal land by re-establishing reindeer lichen. We cultivate native lichen in our lab and bring it back to the field, working with the mining industry, SLU and the Swedish Sámi National Association.

The "re:moss" project
Nordic BioConsult is a scientific partner in re:moss, a moss-based restoration technology developed by Boreal Orchards. re:moss helps kick-start recovery on disturbed land by propagating moss species already native to the site.
