About us

Nordic BioConsult is an R&D and consulting company in Umeå, founded in 2025. We use molecular biology and biotechnology to turn research into practical, real-world solutions for companies, research groups and public organisations.

We started in March 2025 as a sole trader and became an aktiebolag (AB) in June 2025. Our services cover research and development, method development, scientific consulting and project management. Today our main focus is nature restoration: cultivating reindeer lichen and native mosses for post-mining land, together with the mining industry, researchers and reindeer herding communities. Our lab is at Umeå Biotech Incubator, which we share with our R&D partner Boreal Orchards.
